Avithos beach is located 12km southwest of Argostoli and very close to the village of Svoronata.
The beach consists of reddish sand and an impressive mountain backdrop, surrounded by verdant vegetation. Avithos constitutes the ideal environment for children, offering many games in the sand and in the very shallow crystalline waters.
This is also a well-organized beach with umbrellas and sunbeds but with no water sports center available. It offers great views to the tiny islet of Dias and the small church that stands on its top.
A couple of nice taverns are found in close distance from the beach offering delicious meals from the local cuisine.
